The Greater Amman Municipality has starts implementing, rehabilitating and improving Salem Al Quda (Al Wakalat) project in Al Swefiyah with the cost of JD 650 Thousand.
Amman Mayor Eng.Omar Al Maani during his meeting with the commercial activities in Al Wakalat Street to present them on the designs made by the municipality to rehabilitate the street and improve its utilities said, the municipality will do its best to finish the project with minimum time, with a high standard.
The project which aims to activate the commercial movement in the area, and to create an attractive environment for tourism, includes the rehabilitation of the infrastructure, pavements, planting suitable trees, and establishing a public yard for the different activities, in addition to improving the buildings fronts, and setting a detailed map for the street.
Al Maani called for the shops owner to reset the billboard to suite with the new instructions.
The Mayor assured on the necessity to cooperate and coordinate between GAM and the commercial activities, where will be a specialized administration for the street, working to activate the commercial and touristy, pointing that the municipality has possess some land in Al Swefiyah to establish public parks that will be activated with the cooperation of the private sector.
