Jamila Khair- Amman Mayor Yousef Al Shawarbeh met the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Sports Culture Association Muhammad Yousef Al Mana, and discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in sports and cultural fields.
Al Shawarbeh, during the meeting held at Al Hussein Cultural Center, highlighted GAM's efforts and initiatives to support cultural and sports affairs by constructing facilities that serve local communities.
He said that GAM hosts two foundations of the Arab Towns Organization, the Cultural Action Group for Arab Towns and the Arab Smart Cities Forum, who work to provide support to Arab municipalities and cities by holding training courses and exchanging experiences to enhance their development role.
He pointed out that Amman city is full of sports and cultural community facilities, including playgrounds, parks and public libraries, pointing out that Al Qweismeh Stadium was rehabilitated according to FIFA standards.
He stressed on the role of Zaha Cultural Center, which is located in all Jordanian cities to provide service to all segments of society, in addition to many public parks in which all facilities are available to serve young people, the elderly, women and children.
From his part, Al Mana praised GAM's role in supporting sports and cultural fields in the city and enhancing social affairs through the facilities it supervises to strengthen the movement and development of culture and sports.
The President of the Arab Sports Culture Association, Ashraf Mahmoud, praised the role of GAM and its efforts, which considered a model for the advancement of sports and cultural affairs.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Jordanian Society for Sports Culture, Jamal Al Sarayreh, emphasised GAM's role in supporting sports, considering that GAM is a partner in all the sports achievements that have been achieved.
At the end of the meeting, shields and souvenirs were exchanged between the Mayor, the President, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association.
