“Week of the Nation” Activities Kick Off with Free Medical Day

This morning witnessed the launch of “Week of the Nation” activities, organized by Tareq region in the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on the occasion of the Kingdom’s celebration of national holidays. The first day of the activities, which was patronized by the City Deputy Director of Public Works, Engineer Mustafa Al Louzi, in the presence of the Head of the Local Committee for Tareq region, Bandar Al Hadban, kicked off with a free Medical Day, in cooperation with the Royal Medical Services. Eng. Al Louzi stated that this Medical Day asserts corporate responsibility methodology of the nation’s institutions and their concerted efforts to serve the local community in different fields. The Head of the Local Committee for Tareq region, Bandar Al Hadban, thanked the Royal Medical Services for their support on a day in compliance with the Royal vision which calls for extending a helping hand to citizens, and caring for their health and safety. From his end, Dr. Farhan Al Kasasbeh from the Royal Medical Services clarified that this Medical Day was open to all citizens and included four clinics (pediatrics, gynecology, surgery, and internal medicine), in addition to an x-ray room, medicines, ambulance, and a medical staff of 19 people. The event was held at Al Hadban Clan Divan, and was attended by Provincial Magistrate of Marka, Abdul Muna’im Al Sharman, Head of the region, Eng. Jawaher ‘Ebeidat, and a number of the region’s residents. Al Istiklal Hospital and a number of pharmaceutical companies also had their fair share in supporting the Medical Day. The launch of the Medical Day falls within the activities of “Week of the Nation” which will be held throughout this week, and includes a number of artistic, poetic, and sports activities, lectures about the environment and road safety, and distributing aid on needy families in the region.
