The Greater Amman Municipality began operating the traffic lights in west Amman s 8th Circle.
Amman Mayor Akel Biltaji said during his Inspection visit to the site that the traffic lights will be under observation and we will keep receiving feedback from the public in order to observe the flow of traffic and see if any changes are required.
He added that the traffic lights will contribute to organize and facilitate traffic flow.
Each traffic light at the 8th Circle has a different timing according to the route and the number of cars that pass on that route.
The municipality has designated areas for pedestrians and people with disabilities at the intersection and set up signs to direct people.
The mayor was accompanied by Central Traffic Department Director Col Yaser Harahsheh city manager number of GAM council members and senior officials.
