Al-Sharifeh Surrah Bint Ghazi Inaugurates Military Training and Civic Education Camp

The Head of the Supreme Committee for Military Training and Civic Education, Al-Sharifeh Surrah Bint Ghazi, has opened the first training camp for students, in Amman national park, within the project of military training and civic education. In the presence of representatives of the participating military directorates, Al-Sharifeh Surrah met with 54 girls of the camp participants, and their parents, from Fatima Al Zahra’ School of ‘Ein Al Basha, and she walked through the camp which was equipped by GAM to be the permanent site of “Bil Ordun Bnekbar” camp. The City Deputy Manager for Cultural, Social, and Sports Affairs, Eng. Haitham Jweinat, pointed out that the establishment of the camp comes to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Education, GAM, and the Supreme Committee for Military Training and Civic Education, using the camping site of the Department of Social Centers, its facilities, and equipment for setting up camps for the students. He further added that GAM’s participation and cooperation with the relevant parties in this regard, aims at strengthening the services for children, youth, and all other segments of the community in terms of the sportive, leisure, and health purposes, in addition to civic education and military training. The Director of the Educational Activities Management Department in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Abla Abu Nawar said that the project has contributed to the expansion of the participants’ knowledge and skills, raising the level of their military expertise, and creating suitable atmospheres for creativity and commitment, in addition to promoting the belonging and loyalty to the country and the Hashemite leadership. She noted that the project included about 26 thousand students spread over 132 schools in 22 Directorate of Education across the kingdom. According to the supervisor of the camp, Maher Al Tal, The participants will receive military, sportive and entertainment exercises, and interactive lectures; in addition, they will visit GAM and meet with the Mayor of Amman, Eng. Omar Maani, and will also visit Hawa Amman Radio broadcast, and view the mock-up of Amman. It is worth mentioning that this training program focuses on providing the participants with mental, and leadership skills that strengthen the importance of respecting the constitution, laws, regulations, and instructions, in addition to demonstrating the Jordanian values and ethics as the authentic values of Jordan, as well as enhancing their self-confidence, time management, respecting others, and the real participation in the voluntary work truthfully and sincerely.
