Amman, Bishkek Sign MoU

Mayor of Amman, Engineer Nidal Hadid emphasized on Tuesday the need to enhance bilateral relations between Greater Amman Municipality and its counterpart, Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Hadid was speaking upon the signing of Memorandum of Understanding with the Mayor of Bishkek, as a step forward to have the Twin Agreement soon. Hadid said the friendly relations between the two peoples of Jordan and Kyrgyzstan are the basis for further development and cooperation on all aspects in the future. He pointed to the mutual economic relations that assemble businessmen and investors from both sides. Hadid has visited Bishkek recently and said that Greater Amman Municipality will establish a delegation representing all the economic, municipal and cultural sectors in the city to enhance relations with their counterparts in the Kyrgyzstan capital. On his part, Mr. Arstanbek Nogoev said the MoU with GAM is good step forward to bring together the bilateral relations and cooperation on all the economic, tourist and cultural aspects. He pointed that Bishkek Municipality will work to strengthen the cooperation between Jordanian and Kyrgyzstan businessmen, to provide the Jordanian ones all the required facilities to set their investments in Bishkek. The MoU stipulates that both sides will work to enhance the bilateral cooperation and exchange of expertise on all fields, especially on the local authority management, architectural planning, public transport, culture, and municipal affairs. The memo also called on both sides to promote for more exchange of visits by senior officials and technical teams in the two countries.
