Bashir meets "Twist Master" delegation

Deputy Amman Mayor Engineer Amer Bashir on Tuesday said that human factor is a basis for achieving sustainable development as it is the real asset to develop the city.During a meeting with "Twist Master" club delegation, he said that Greater Amman Municipality pays greater attention to its human resources considering it as the starting point for development of the institutional work and to implement GAMs vision and message. He showed interest in the cooperation between GAM and the club to achieve both sides hopes and objectives. Meanwhile, Director of the Long Term Planning in GAM Engineer Samir Subhi presented major parts in the Master Plan to the delegation and the plans outcomes. He pointed out that the Master Plan came in order to plan for the future of Amman in the next 20-year in a way to accommodate the expected growth in population and to provide better services according to the priorities in the city and to avoid traffic congestions. Last year, GAM announced the four phases of the Master Plan that designated four locations for high rises, building intensification policy in the major axis in the capital, in addition to designating lands for industrial uses and the interim policy for the gated community housing projects for the low population areas and a plan for the Queen Alia International Airport Road. Subhi said that the Master Plan will preserve agricultural lands and would prevent any misuse of the natural resources in the areas that have been attached to GAM, by preserving the green spaces and improving the environmental conditions in the city and organizing the spaces in the city through designating the usage of such locations.
