Deputy Director of Public Work, Engineer Fawzi Masad, affirmed that Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) will launch the new streets in Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Street and paving roads connecting the airport road and Prince Hashem intersection early next year.
He further stated the remaining section of the road extending from Prince Hashem intersection till Al Qaisiah Circle is in the Municipality’s plans in the years, and has finished their designs. He also added that the design includes a main rain-water drainage system and a public park for the intersection.
Engineer Masad further stated that Amman Municipality will conclude a number of roads parallel to Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Square on the airport road; Ali Bin Own Road and Abu Baker Al Seddiq road in addition to part of Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II road.
This new network of Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II road and the other roads will contribute to reducing time between downtown heading to the south of Jordan as well as decreasing the traffic jam in Zahran, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein and Queen Zein Sharaf streets.
