Jamila Khair- In his name, and the members of GAM Council, and all its employees, Amman Mayor Youssef Al Shawarbeh, congratulates His Majesty King Abdullah II, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah and their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein on the birth of their first child, Her Royal Highness Princess Iman.
This came during the tenth regular session of the Council, held today, in which the Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, Alaa Shbeilat, the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, Jihad Al Sawair, and the Council member for Shafa Badran district, Ibrahim Al Hajjaj, took the oath as members of GAM Council.
The Council approved an increase on the previous financing from the Social Security Investment Fund, at a value of 2 million and 528 thousand jds, to purchase 16 buses for the BRT route between Amman and Zarqa.
The council also approved renewing the agreement with Nawa Company for Sustainable Development in the field of cooperation for voluntary work that serves local communities by introducing volunteers for projects listed on the “We” platform.
GAM Council approved signing an agreement with Qut Social Services Company regarding joint cooperation to empower women economically by providing a sewing workshop to raise the efficiency and develop women employment in Khirbet Al Souq district in sewing, cloth recycling, and training in electronic marketing.
The Council agreed to sign an annex to the agreement to merge and unify the security services agreements between GAM and the Directorate of Public Security to exchange geographical information.
