Bait Al Ruwad Band organized a concert in cooperation with the Employees Club of Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of independence, during which the Band presented a set of patriotic songs, hailing the King and the country.
The artists: Mousa Hjazeen, Salwa Al ‘Aas, Mohammed Waheeb, and Fuad Hjazi, with the musical band led by Sakhr Hattar, participated in the concert, in the presence of the Club’s director, Salamah Al Nasr, and the Executive Director of Social Services, Taghreed Fakhouri, as well as a group of GAM employees.
The singers of Bait Al Ruwad “saloon”, of GAM, presented seven songs with which the audience happily interacted. The singer Nabeel Fakhoury started the concert with the song “Lajlak Ma Nehtam”, composed by Issa Al Balah, Atalah Hindaleh sang a poem by Haidar Mahmoud “Ala Thura Al Urdon”, and artist Mohammed Waheeb sang “Beladi Beladi”.
The artist and actor Mousa Hjazeen performed the song “El Ard Btetkalem Arabi”, Fuad Hjazi sang “Habib Al Shaab”, Salwa Al Aas presented “’Uhoud LelHashemi”, and Ismael Khader “Waddaa’on Wajhuka Ya Watani”.
Head of GAM Employees Club, Salameh Al Naser said that this festivity reflects the Club and the Band members’ sense of pride of the achievements realized during the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II, and of the story of success of Jordan, since the foundation, development, independence, and the sacrifices of the forefathers and those of the Jordanians to maintain the independence of the nation in all the fields.
Bait Al Ruwad is a musical cultural saloon with members of leading Jordanian artists over 50 years of age, from different domains of music, such as instrument playing, singing, composing and others. The saloon is mainly based on the Band and the Arab Takht (Tune). The artists meet every Saturday and Monday to rehearse the old songs and to perform them eventually before the audience every Wednesday evening.
Bait Al Ruwad band consists of the members: Sakhr Hattar (the band’s head), As’ad George, Karameh Hadad, Samir Baghdadi, Issa AL Balah, Subhi Abdoh Mousa, Khader Azzam (Violin player), Emile Hadad (Qanun player), Hasan Al Faqeer (Nay “Flute” player), Sami Khouri (Oud), Ali Faleh (Accordion), Mohammed Smeek (Contrabass), Mohammed Mraish, Said Hana, and Riad Ghallab (drums). As for the folk singing band, it comprises the membership of the artists: Khamees Barakat, Bsharah Al Rabadi, Radwan Al Maghrabi, Rawhi Shaheen, Atallah hindaleh, Fuad Rakan, Mousa Hjazeen, Nabeel Sharqawi, Nabeel Fakhouri, Mohammed Waheeb, Fuad Hjazi, Salwa AL ‘Aas, Tawfiq Al Nemri, and Ismael Khader.
