Mayor of Amman, Engineer Nidal Hadid patronized, Wednesday, the launching ceremony of Jordanian film "Captain Abu Raed" for Jordanian Writer and Director Amin Matalqah. The film talks about a retired airport janitor who wishes to travel around the world. He thrived in making good friendships with the poor children at his neighborhood.
The movie is a mixture of comedy and drama, being the first international film of its kind that is produced in Jordan. The film indicates to the strong relationship between Abu Raed and two of the children, as well as his close relations with a young girl, who is originally a pilot.
The film represents Arab culture in three aspects; showing the West nations that Arabs are ordinary innocent people who have their own aspirations and dreams, proving Jordan as a hub for film industry in the region and paving way for young generation of actors and actresses to enter the film industry in Jordan.
