Mayor of Amman Checks up Services Rendered to Alia Neighborhood in Al Naser District

Mayor of Amman, Omar Maani, inspected recently the services rendered to Alia Neighborhood in Al Naser district to define the residents needs and demands to be followed up by the concerned cadres of Greater Amman Municipality (GAM). During his field visit, the mayor stressed the necessity to maintain Mahmoud Al Qdah Park and its playground, as well as planting the areas in the Charity Society of Al Naser Women. Maani asked the concerned departments at GAM to study and find suitable traffic resolutions in response to the residents demand which is to allow comers from Al Yarmouk Street to Al Manara & Alia Neighborhoods pass through Fnoun tunnel. He also requested that a study be conducted on the crossroads of Masoud Ibn Al-Aswad Street and Abu Taleb Street to reduce the traffic jam in that area by finding necessary traffic resolutions. Then he promised to follow up on the residents demands to extend Jubran Khalil Jubran School with the concerned parties in the Ministry of Education to make it a comprehensive school covering all educational phases. In a tour accompanied by Mayors Advisor for Regions Affairs, Mahmoud Al Armouti, and GAM Council member, Ahmad Al Abed, deputies of the city manager for public works and services, the districts manager and some of the residents, the mayor stressed the importance of completing the retaining wall of Al-Ezdehar St. to prevent rain water and soils from leaking during winter into the citizens houses built on a street of a sloping nature. Another retaining wall shall be also constructed on Hisham Al Sahmi St. and Nasr Bin Al Hareth St., in addition to paving Abu Mejhen St. in response to the citizens request. The neighborhood residents commended GAMs efforts to deliver the best services, constant dialogue and contact with the citizens and listening to their demands and proposals from all the Capital regions.
