Mayor of Amman Honors Group of GAM Employees in Appreciation of Their Efforts

The Mayor of Amman, Engineer Omar Maani, praised the efforts of all Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) employees, whatever their posts, in serving the City and its citizens. During his patronage of a celebration for veteran employees, the Mayor affirmed the Municipality’s dedication to supporting and supplying its cadre with the necessary expertise and training courses, which should reflect positively on municipal services. With the attendance of the Advisor of the restructuring and institutional performance development project, Eng. Ismael Al Usta, Eng. Maani explained that women have assumed leadership positions in GAM thanks to its administrative restructuring project, an indication of excellence and perseverance. The Mayor also stressed the importance of adopting team spirit on all working levels. During a speech he gave at a celebration of Independence Day, the tenth anniversary of H.M. King Abdullah the Second’s assuming constitutional powers, and GAM’s centennial, the Director of the Human Resources Department, Salama Al Naser, reiterated GAM’s commitment to supporting employees, thereby developing and keeping abreast with all that enhance the standing of GAM and the City. Al Naser also expressed the wish that the honoring celebration would motivate all employees to persevere and continue to give, achieving GAM’s vision and future plans for the City, and reaching a high position as befits their beloved Amman. During the celebration, Eng. ‘Awatef Al ‘Akour spoke on behalf of the honored employees, expressing gratitude and appreciation to GAM upper management, represented by the Mayor of Amman, Eng. Omar Maani, for its continued support of its employees, which plays a part in increasing the standard of municipal work and services. She stated, “Being honored today will act as an incentive to all GAM employees to work harder and give more for the service of the City and its citizens.” Within this context, Zaha Musical Band from Zaha Cultural Center, gave a rendition of “Amman Fi Al Qalb,” as well as the Band’s own songs, ‘Ayoun Amman and Ba’edek. At the conclusion of the celebration, the Mayor of Amman awarded the honored employees certificates of appreciation, wishing them good luck and urging them to keep up the good work in serving the city and residents of Amman.
