Prime Minister Nader Dahabi on Saturday inaugurated the JD6.5 million King Abdullah Street - Mecca Street intersection, implemented by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM). The project is designed to facilitate traffic flow from Mecca Street towards King Abdullah Street, one of the busiest in the city, and Al Shaab Street. Amman Mayor Omar Maani said 6,000 vehicles pass by the intersection every hour. He added that around 250,000 new vehicles are expected enter the country this summer and 300 policemen will be deployed to organise traffic on the capitals main streets.
