NUQUL GROUP ON BOARD AS SUPPORTING PARTNER

Nuqul Group has pledged support as sponsor of Jordans Arabic speaking corporate social responsibility forum, under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah and due to take place from February 28- March 1, 2007 at the Hussein Cultural Center in Amman. This announcement was made during a signing ceremony held at the Greater Amman Municipality on (date), attended by H.E. Engineer Omar Maani, Mayor of Amman, and Mr. Ghassan Nuqul, Vice Chairman of Nuqul Group. In addition to providing sponsorship, Vice Chairman, Mr. Ghassan Nuqul, will participate in the “Public-Private Partnership” session as a panelist. The session aims to address issues pertaining to public private partnerships, some of the different models of such partnerships, their importance, why government and the private sector should share responsibilities, the different roles and responsibilities of government in these new partnerships and how the private sector offers better value for money. While the forums organizers realize that public-private partnerships can not be applied to all of the issues and concerns that Jordan faces, they hope that a clearer understanding of how they can be created and managed will aid in the appropriate application of such partnerships to a number of projects and programs for a better Jordan. "We are delighted to support the CSR Forum. Nuqul Group is a firm believer in CSR and we incorporate many such programs in our operations. We are firmly dedicated to the community within which we operate, and the CSR programs that address its needs. Participating in such an event will allow us to voice our concerns, address issues, think of ways to overcome obstacles, and hopefully move on to translate the recommendations we come out with to action. Public-private partnership should not only be a concept, but rather an action plan that is evaluated and assessed continuously." Commenting on Nuqul Groups contribution, H.E. Mr. Maani, said “we highly value Nuqul Groups participation. This goes to exemplify their commitment to the community and to ongoing dialogue which is crucial to mapping the way forward. Furthermore, Mr. Ghassan Nuquls participation in the Public-Private Partnership session will definitely add value to the forum and the discussions.” With the CSR Forum, scheduled to take place from February 28th - March 1, 2007 at the Hussein Cultural Center, GAM aims to create an environment conducive to the asking of important questions relating to critical social issues, and the new types of partnerships necessary to inspire and lead change. Established in 1952, Nuqul Group brings together 30 regional and global companies, more than 5,500 employees and exports its products to over 45 exports markets worldwide.
