HRH Prince Firas Bin Raad the Chairman of Amman International Marathon discussed yesterday with Amman Mayor several topics concerning Amman marathon which will be launched on the fourth of October.
His Royal Highness said that Amman Marathon succeeded in achieving its objectives to build an annual athletic tradition to encourage tourism, and sports since its launch. He added that the efforts of all public and private institutions, including GAM was a factor to succeed the marathon since it was related to Amman City in name and place.
The Mayor Aqel Beltaji said that GAM seeks to make Amman a friendly companion to all generations by its activities and events which enhance the cultural, social, sports, & touristic position of Amman.
Beltaji noted the routes of the marathon that start in down town and end in Citadel will enhance the plans of GAM to develop the down town, ensuring that GAM will provide all facilities.
He expressed wishes that the marathon will launch in the forthcoming years from Marka Airport Circle passing through Al. Mahatta, Al. Abdali, and King Hussein Street, to make all Amman present in the minds of participants and viewers.
