Her Royal Highness Princess Ghaida Talal patronized on Saturday the first national musical performance for Zaha Troupe at the King Hussein Cultural Center.
The performance came as part of the celebration at Greater Amman Municipality of the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II. It was attended by Deputy Mayor of Amman, Engineer Abdel Rahim Biqae and Mrs. Zaha Manco, director of Zaha Cultural Center.
Zaha Troupe is the first of its kind in Jordan that involves young qualified performers who can dance, enchant and sing on different classical and traditional music themes. The troupe will represent Jordan in the Arab and international festivals, as well as the national ones.
The troupe performed "Knight of Hope" operetta, presented as a gift to King Abdullah on his birthday. Music was composed by Jordanian Wael Sharqawi, words by Ali Battiri, and performance conducted by Rawan Al-Ali. Young Jordanian singer Issa and Zeid Qandah enchanted the audience with his striking voice.
