Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Gardens of Amman Municipality Announced the winners for the annual short story contest, during a ceremony which was held yesterday at AlHussein Cultural Center to honor the winners .
The director of the gardens of Mr. Khadr Al Saud said : The contest is a continuation to the Department of Gardens approach within the annual plan for the purposes of supporting and strengthening the creativity of the community children .
He reviewed during the ceremony the most important achievements of the Department of the gardens such as programs concerned with refining the talents of children during the current year .
The head of the contest Jury Mahmoud Abu Farweh briefly explained the criteria of arbitration which the contest was based on, noting that a number of participations were eliminated because they were not stories , but articles and thoughts , and other borrowed and plagiarized .
He also highlighted that the committee noted that there was a variance in the level of work submitted between different groups , where they recommended increasing the awards for the age group (15-17) years because of the intense competition. And the winner of the first place in the age group (9-11) years was Hala Maher Sofan and the second place Raad Ata Abu Al Ghanam and the third place Raed Saleh .
The winner of the first place in the age group (12-14) years was Muhannad Mashhour Gabriel, the second place Mohamed Khairi and the third place Aseel Majid Hbaiyeh .
As for the age group (15-17) years , the winner of the first place was Waid Al Omari , the second place Awatif Waleed and the third place Batool Mahir Taym.
At the end of the celebration the gardens director Mr. Khadr Al Saud cashed awards and prizes to all winners .
