Suha Azzah Signs New Novel

Engineer Abdel Rahim Biqae, Deputy Mayor of Amman, patronized on Tuesday the signing ceremony of the new Arabic novel titled "Cloning at the Black Mountain" by Jordanian writer Suha Azzah. The ceremony took place at the King Hussein Cultural Center. In her welcome speech, Azzah expressed her delight for the popular demand and attendance on her novels. Critics at the ceremony, including Dr. Suleiman Azrae, Dr. Salah Abul Rubb, novelist Mahmoud Rajbi, and journalist Nisrin Qawasmi, have all praised the novel for being rich of values and social morals. They said the novel provides a clear representation of the religion that proves religion does not conflict with science. They also pointed to the steps mentioned in the novel and talk about cloning. Suha Azzah, who holds a degree in agricultural engineering, is currently working at the Anti-Vermin Department of the Greater Amman Municipality. She won in year 2000 the second place of Queen Noor Hussein Award in Scientific Literature on her novel for children "Chicken is a Blessing", which was produced in 1996. She is also responsible editor at the Arabic magazine, Farashat Al-Atfal (Brushes of the Children).
