Jordanian artist, Hussein Al Salman, sensationally concluded the last day of Amman Summer Festival with a number of his diverse national and emotional songs.
Tickling the listeners’ emotions and sentiments of pride, Al Salman kicked off his performance with stimulating national songs such as: “Hatha Al Urdon Urdunna”, “Khali Kol El ‘Alam Yesma’”, and “Allah Yehmi El Malek Abdullah”….
Enjoying the performance, the huge audience coming from all over the kingdom and neighboring Arab countries cheerfully formed “Dabkah” circles and chanted traditional Jordanian verses.
On this final night of Amman Summer Festival 2010, and in the presence of the Deputy Mayor, Amer Al Basheer, the City Deputy Manager for Cultural, Social, and Sports Affairs, Eng. Haitham Jweinat, Al Salman also sang “Baqbat Al ‘Orgoub, Hagar, Bas Esma’a Meni, Ammi Hussein, Ya Sageni Sam El Kas, and Nezlen ‘Al Bestan”.
Also performing on the festival’s final night, was Heil Band. The band which was founded in 2004, and consists of 27 young men and women, presented a joyous Jordanian night dancing to their own songs such as “Jeenakom”, “Ya Beiragna”, “Labbasna Amman Hareer”, “Yal Orduniyah”, and “Hala beek”. The songs were written and composed by Habeeb Al-Zoud and choreographed and produced by Suhair Al-Tal.
Heil Band participated in several local, regional, and international festivals such as the celebrations of “Sha’er Al Malyon” in Abu Dhabi, Al Grein Festival in Kuwait, in which the Band won (Best Show Award), and was named as “The Diplomatic Show” in the Kuwaiti press as it reflected the deep relations between Jordan and Kuwait.
On the children’s stage of Al Hussein Parks, many activities took place such as meeting cartoon characters, balloon shaping for the kids; face painting, and giving away the Festival’s fans (spinning wheel), in addition to the plays and the magical shows.
