Al Hashimiyah Band(the Hashemite ) conducted an artistic night at Al Hussein Parks, overwhelmed by developed folklore, local recitals, and popular dances(Dabkat ) and songs to the tunes of the organ, percussion, and the warm voice of the Jordanian singer, Omar al Rawashdeh.
The band was established in 1981, and since then presented well received performances for the Amman Summer Festival audience, through Dabkat in the vicinity of the main stage.
Al Rawashdeh sang a number of national and folkloric songs, among which, “Khams Sabaya ‘Al ‘Ein, Wahdah Minhom Mahboubi” (Five Girls at the Spring, One of Whom My Beloved), “Mar’iyeh”, “Lawhi Bmandeelek Lawhi”(Wave with Your Handkerchief), “Jeishna Jeish El Abtatl”( Our Army of Heroes), and ” Nizlen ‘Al Bustan” ( They Went to the Garden).
The chief of the Band, Hussein Al Harahsheh, expressed his happiness for their participation in this Summer Festival of Amman, pointing out to the fact that Al Hashemiyah Band has wide participation in the festivals of Babel, Dubai, Syria, Palestine Carnival, Jerash, Al Fheis, Al Azraq, and GAM Festival for Folkloric Bands.
Artist Sarkees has kindled the Amman Summer Festival with a number of national, and traditional songs, moving to Saudi Arabia to sing for the Arabs Artist, Mohammad ‘Abdo : “ Lana Allah Ya Ghali Mina Al Shoug…”, and finally to Lebanon, singing for Fairouz. He also sang : “ Ya Beiragna Ya Ghali “, “ ‘Ala Tareeg el Salt”( On the Road to Al Salt), “ Dinye Hilwah Birjala ( Life is Sweet with its Men),”Leiki Leiki” ( For You For You), Ya Sitti Ya Khityara” ( Oh , My old Grandmother).
The media notable, Hazem Al Rahahleh announced, through presenting the various parts of the Festival of Amman Summer, that there will be a prize presented by Nissan (Nissan 2010) to be publically declared upon conclusion of the Festival, pointing out that anybody can qualify for the prize upon purchasing a coupon for one JD from the site allocated to the company.
He further added that Zain has contributed 100 mobiles as prizes for the audience of the Festival, provided that those who wish to qualify should purchase a Zain line for 3 JD from the company’s site in the Parks, and added that the draw shall take place upon conclusion of the Festival.
On the children theater, action continued with the shows of the magicians, Samer Al Lord and Fadi Al Mashharawi, which tackled pictures and drawings of pigeons turning into reality, a box out of which jumps a rabbit, and other performance. Additionally, the face paintings show continued, along with the Festival fans and balloons distribution.
It is worth mentioning that Qurtoba Band has presented on the main stage a musical show with songs, among which was “ Foug AlNakhal Foug” ( On the Palm Trees), with which the audience extensively interacted, and received it well.
